Some kind of mauresque pattern... Note how the fine details reproduce the large structures of the images.

This image uses a pattern composed of stars with a random number of arms arranged on a square lattice. I like the contrast between the joyful colors and the disturbing darkness of the center of the stars.

This image also uses a Truchet pattern, but a more sophisticated one, with several types of tiles. An image is sucessful when one can get lost into its details. I think it's the case here.

Again an image based on a Truchet pattern. This time, the tiles are choosen according to... the same Truchet pattern at a larger scale. The large scale pattern can be seen only as a discontinuity in the small scale pattern, and hence appears in this ghostly way...
